At Aviation Workforce Success mini-camp, you'll dive into the growing opportunities within the field of aviation maintenance.  After checking in at the Lumley Aviation Center, you'll spend the weekend learning what it takes to earn a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate. You'll also fly through the labs where Penn College students tear down and repair engines. You'll check out the electrical aspects and specialty instruments. Learn about composite and sheet metal materials used in the fabrication and repair of aircraft structures and try your hand at bending, forming, and riveting sheet metal. Wait, you'll also cruise through the hanger which houses 20 planes.

You'll even meet with an Admissions Counselor and learn about the three aviation tracks available at Penn College and what it takes to become a Wildcat. If you have questions, we will have answers!

When you're done trying out the labs, learning from our industry experts, and testing your new-found skills, there is still time for a campus and housing tour and a chance to refuel with a meal in our Capitol Dining Hall. We can’t wait for you to join us!

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
