The B.S. in Health Science prepares you for health science careers that have a non-direct patient care focus. Many students who complete this degree seek positions in medical research, laboratory science, epidemiology, and pharmaceutical sales, just to name a few. Others begin graduate work to prepare them for advanced practice careers in healthcare.

If you're looking for a program that includes hands-on patient care, please explore one of our other programs, including radiography, nursing, dental hygiene, physician assistant studies, surgical technology, paramedic, and physical therapist assistant. You can find upcoming visit options for these programs at pct.edu/visit.

Please note, you may be with up to two other families for the campus tour portion (9 guests total).

Safety Guidelines
The health and safety of our Penn College community is paramount. Taking steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 is a shared responsibility. These mitigation steps are rooted in current strategies and are subject to change and modification based on further instructions from local, state, and federal officials. All of this information will be routinely updated on our COVID-19 website.
  • General Precautions—washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, avoiding touching face, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, and staying home if you are feeling sick.
  • Masks—masks are required to be worn when on campus.
  • Maintaining Social Distancing—avoid close contact (maintain distancing of at least 6 feet) with other individuals.
  • Traveling, quarantining, and testing—
    • Pennsylvania visitors: if you have traveled, or plan to travel, outside of Pennsylvania in the last 14 days, you and your guests must have results of a negative COVID-19 test conducted within the last 72 hours prior to your arrival on campus.
    • Out-of-state visitors: you and your guests must have results of a negative COVID-19 test conducted within the last 72 hours prior to your arrival on campus.
  • Screening – Upon arrival to campus, you will be asked a series of screening questions. If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, you will be asked to reschedule your visit. Additionally, your temperature may be taken.
    • Do you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher?
    • Are you experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19? (most common symptoms include cough, temperature above 100.4, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell)
    • Have you been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, is awaiting a test result, or who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19?
    • Have you traveled outside of Pennsylvania in the last 14 days?
    • If yes, do you have a negative test result from within 72 hours prior to your return/visit to Pennsylvania? (applies to all out-of-state travel beginning 11.20.2020)
