Safety Guidelines
The health and safety of our Penn College community is paramount. Taking steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 is a shared responsibility. These mitigation steps are rooted in current strategies and are subject to change and modification based on further instructions from local, state, and federal officials. All of this information will be routinely updated on our COVID-19 website.
  • General Precautions—washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, avoiding touching face, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, and staying home if you are feeling sick.
  • Masks—masks are required to be worn when on campus. In some instances, your host may identify opportunities for you to remove your masks, at which time you will be provided an invitation to do so.
  • Maintaining Social Distancing—avoid close contact (maintain distancing of at least 6 feet) with other individuals.
  • Traveling and quarantining—if you have traveled, or plan to travel, to an area where there are high numbers of COVID-19 cases, it is recommended that you stay at home for 14 days upon return to Pennsylvania.
  • Screening – Upon arrival to campus, you will be asked a series of screening questions. If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, you will be asked to reschedule your visit. Additionally, your temperature may be taken.
    • Do you have a mask with you today?
    • Do you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher?
    • Are you experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19? (most common symptoms include cough, temperature above 100.4, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell)
    • Have you been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, is awaiting a test result, or who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19?
    • Have you traveled to any areas under restriction in the past 14 days?
We appreciate your adherence to these guidelines which help promote the health and safety of our campus community.
